"There are no fancy filters or effects or spectacular layers or walls of sound on this album, just a simple group of home-grown lullabies, played organically and infused with a whole lot of love to ease the furrowed brow at the end of the day.”

We all love a soothing bedtime song — something that allows us to leave the hustle and the bustle behind us and drift into a restful, unworried state of being, perfect for dreaming.

As a parent, when my children were very small I always considered the quiet settling down time before bed to be an especially magical space between wakefulness and dreaming. Dim lights, stories, lullabies, and cuddles. Now that my children are much bigger, our bedtime rituals and routines involve a hug and wishes for sweet dreams, but are mostly carried out individually.

My daughter often plays my music on her smart speaker to help her fall asleep. She will sometimes call me into her room to ask me, “mom, which of your songs should I fall asleep to tonight?” And then she requests it of her device and drifts off in her bed to my voice in my music.

This album consists of affirming, quiet, and honest songs delicately presented in an unpolished and deconstructed, organic fashion. Designed as a soundtrack for lulling and rocking into a replenishing slumber.

We all love a soothing bedtime song  — something that allows us to leave the hustle and the bustle, the whirling and the buzzing of modern life behind us and drift into a restful, un-worried state of being, perfect for dreaming.“Lullabies” was created in my home studio and co-produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by my husband and partner, Jeremy. I wrote, sang, and performed this home-made, love-filled, intimate, and intentional collection of songs on the ukulele, and designed them to soothe and empower. This is for you. We all need a little and refueling and recharging at this time, and I made this album to support you as you rest and restock. I wanted to give the world a little pick-me-up and a reassuring balm, releasing irritations that linger.

Through a little good humor, and permission to be perfect as you are in all of your glorious imperfections, as all humans are, I wanted you to feel loved and nurtured. That is what this album is about: nurture and love. There are no fancy filters or effects or spectacular layers or walls of sound on this album, just a simple group of home-grown lullabies, played gently and infused with a whole lot of love to ease the furrowed brow at the end of the day.I hope that you enjoy it.
